John Munley CFP®

Co-Founder

I spent 27 years on Wall Street as a successful foreign currency trader—immersed in fast-paced markets, managing risk for global institutions, and operating in an environment where every decision had consequences. But as life unfolded—raising four daughters, navigating career pivots, and facing the same real-life trade-offs my clients face—my perspective began to shift. I realized that for most people, financial success isn’t about beating markets. It’s about gaining clarity, confidence, and control over the life they want to live.

What matters most is what money makes possible.

That belief led me to launch wHealth Advisors where I help individuals and families align their finances with a life rooted in purpose and well-being. I start with where you are in your life today, listen carefully to what matters most, and build financial strategies that support where you want to go—not just in the short term, but for the long haul.

At the core of my work is our definition of wHealth, our North Star. It’s a framework we use to measure progress not just in dollars and cents, but across three pillars that truly matter: health, wealth and happiness. A great financial plan does more than build wealth—it helps support a life that feels balanced and meaningful.

My role is equal parts guide, coach and sounding board. Whether you’re planning for retirement, raising a family, navigating equity compensation, growing a business or trying to simplify an increasingly complex financial world, I’m here to help. My approach blends deep professional experience with personal perspective, grounded in the belief that the best financial advice is rooted in real life.

This work is deeply personal to me. I’ve wrestled with the same big decisions many of my clients face: funding college, balancing saving with living, making career transitions, and figuring out how money fits into a meaningful life. I know how overwhelming it can feel to manage your finances while trying to enjoy your life—and I believe no one should have to figure that out alone. Money should serve your life, not the other way around.

Because in the end, money isn’t the goal – it’s just the tool.

The real goal isn’t just more wealth.

It’s more wHealth.
